Why Attend the 59th Convention?

Every three years the ATU holds a General Convention as pursuant to the ATU Constitution and General Laws. The ATU 59th International Convention will be held at Paris Las Vegas Hotel in Las Vegas, NV, from September 23-27, 2019. One third of the delegates elected by Locals must be present at the convention to constitute a quorum for the business to take place.

Important business takes place at the Convention regarding amending and adopting the laws and policies of the ATU. At the Convention, delegates will elect the International Officers – International President, International Executive Vice President, International Secretary-Treasurer, and International Vice Presidents.

It is essential that all of our local unions and Joint Bargaining Councils recognize the importance of the Convention and arrange for delegates to represent their Local at the Convention.
